Suntree Elementary PTO Update – January 2015

FALL FESTIVAL – Thank you to all our wonderful volunteers, teachers, staff, administration, businesses and sponsors who helped make the Fall Festival happen!

Fall Festival Income $26,286.52
Silent Auction Proceeds (90% of Silent Auction Profit) given to teachers for classroom needs $9562.01
Fall Festival Expenses $5650.19

Fall Festival Total Net Profit $11,074.32

PENNIES FOR PLAYGROUNDS – Students will soon be asked to bring in coin and dollar donations toward our playground replacement. Look for info coming home soon! Also, look for a bake sale on STEAM Night Feb 5th to benefit the playground fund!

DONATIONS OF SPORTS BALLS NEEDED (Soccer, Basketball, Kickballs, etc.) to replenish recess supplies for all of our classes. Please consider donating if you have any no longer being used.

BOX TOPS FOR EDUCATION – Keep clipping and send in with your student. These add up quickly and equal CASH for our school. We have raised over $700 so far this year!

LABELS FOR EDUCATION – Same as Box Tops, except we can use points to purchase things for our school. New recess equipment is on its way, free, thanks to accumulated points.

MATH SUPERSTARS has resumed. Students who complete all 20 worksheets will be invited to attend a pizza party in the spring. Visit this link for the schedule and to print your worksheets.

YEARBOOK SALES – Feb. 9-13, details coming soon, books will be available by PRESALE ONLY

SWEETHEART DANCE – Save the date: Feb. 27th 5:30-8:00 PM. If anyone is willing to donate this year’s American Girl Doll for the game of chance, please contact the PTO as soon as possible. Remember all donations are tax deductible!

TEACHER APPRECIATION WEEK (May 18-22) – Co-chairs needed now for planning.

BOOK FAIR Volunteers Needed Feb. 2-6

NEXT PTO MEETING – Mar. 10 at 6:00PM

BOYS NIGHT OUT- Save the date: Apr. 10th 5:30-8:00PM

DONATION DRIVE – Current Total: $4088.08. Please consider making a donation if you have not already done so. We now accept credit cards via PayPal (link is on our website).

2015-2016 – We are already looking ahead to next year with board nominations accepted in February, candidates announced in March, and election taking place at the April 30th meeting. Please let us know if you are interested!
