This year, our Suntree PTO will hold meetings every other month on Tuesday afternoons at 2:45 in the Media Center (unless otherwise noted). Please join us on Tuesday, August 30th for Volunteer Orientation and our 1st PTO meeting as we welcome new and returning families to the 2016-2017 school year. PTO meetings are publicized on our Facebook page, in the school newsletter, and on our website. We invite all Suntree families, community members, teachers and staff to attend and actively participate. The purpose of our meetings is to provide our community with PTO program updates, Mrs. Giombetti’s Principal Report, Question and Answer opportunities, and general community building. We look forward to seeing you become an active part of Suntree PTO!
Please take a moment to browse our website and Facebook page for more information. Our WordPress website, Facebook page and e-mail blasts will be our method of communication with our Suntree families throughout the year. Please send us an e-mail to join our mailing list or sign-up at a PTO meeting. Our PTO meeting agendas, minutes, and financial documents are available on our website for those who are unable to attend our meetings.
2015-2016 Year In Review….
With your participation and generous support of PTO programs throughout the year, we are able to accomplish many of the goals set forth at the start of each school year. As returning Suntree families know, school security and replacement of our intermediate playground were priorities established by our PTO, PAC and SAC. As a result of many earnest fundraising efforts (Pennies for Playgrounds, Boosterthon/Pantherthon Fun Run, Fall Festival, Bake Sales, Memory Tiles, etc), 5 additional security cameras were purchased and installed and our new multi-age playground was installed in March of 2016. We would like to once again thank the Suntree Community and families for their extraordinary support that allowed these projects to come to fruition.
Looking Ahead 2016-2017….
This year we will continue our support of Suntree Elementary and its identified needs of Technology and Security. It is our desire that our fundraising efforts will assist with creating an educational environment where students and teachers have access to up to date computers and software in order to create opportunities rich in research and presentation, and whole class hands-on learning. In addition, any excess funds raised may be used to replace our current school marquee with an electronic one. An electronic marquee would allow timely updates to be provided by administration, especially in an emergency or in the case of inclement weather.
